Great level in the 68th TROPHY CIUTAT DE PALMA BUFETE FRAU "EL MUNDIALITO".

02Jan

The 68th Trofeo Ciutat de Palma Bufete Frau which took place from the 6th to the 9th December has been one of the best in recent years. Not only because of the number of participants, but also because of the quality of the Optimist class fleet.  Nearly 400 sailors from 18 countries took part, a record in terms of international representation.

For the first time in its history, the Mallorquin classic for children's and youth sailing was attended by four of the ten best absolute Optimist sailors in the world, as well as the female champion, the Mallorquin María Perelló from the Arenal Yacht Club.

In addition to the Optimist class, classes 420, Laser 4.7, Laser Radial and Europe class have participated (the latter being the guest after many editions without being present).

Jose Frau made some declarations in the media: "We are very happy and proud for the second consecutive year to sponsor this Trophy, and above all the fact that so many international sailors have been able to come to our island, I hope they enjoy the weather, our island and make a good regatta. He also thanked all the organisers of the Trophy, the Real Club Náutico of Palma and above all the participants for coming to Mallorca and taking part in this fantastic regatta".
